  2. Be assertive, not abrasive; persuasion beats shouting.
  3. Promotions don’t just happen — do great work and push for it.
  4. Partner with your boss: deliver for them, earn sponsorship.
  5. “Zombie projects” hit goals but go nowhere.
  6. Fast-growth companies = career rocket fuel; relationships are your safety net.
