Leadership Skills # 7 : Meta Level Decision Making Tips

Today is going to be a small post , literally very small because it is more to do with meta level tenets on how we should operate when looking through crisis and see what is best can be done to be decisive.

Time you cannot recover

Keep in mind time is not a recoverable asset , you cannot make up for it , so more you loose in the process of decision making , it will hurt in ways you are not able to judge in the moment.

No for an answer

It is always ok to have this as an answer in certain situations , because it is difficult to find an agreeable situation all the time or our own cognitive ability to execute every task. Keep in mind saying *No* is a valid answer.

Avoidance as a solution

Sometimes it is also ok to avoid a situation because of many reasons. Those reasons are generally out of our control and the timing if off to arrive at a conclusion. Getting sharp to address this , is important. It can lead of drain in case you end up solving something which is not ready for its time.

I do not know the answer

Keep in mind whatever you are , who you are , you will always be short of the right answer or in certain cases not at all have an answer. It is perfectly fine to state that you do not have answer. Being honest about that , allows you to expand your possibilities of discovering the information needed to provide the right response.
